A native of the Boston area, Ann Palica is an award winning graphic designer and painter.  After studying fine art at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, she proceeded to involve herself in a variety of fields including managing a live theater and performance arts center in Burlington, VT, serving as the Director of PR, Marketing, Design and Events for a real estate company, serving as a top Executive Assistant to several of Boston's top CEO's, to eventually running her own studio specializing in commissioned stained glass, painting, murals, faux finish and design which she still manages today.  Ann is noted in the Boston circuit as proving to be one of the leading Executive Assistant's in the Boston area, serving some of the most demanding, entrepreneurs in our city and enabling them to flourish with her strong business minded and creative background and support their missions while pulling in her artistic expertise in numerous areas.

Ann's acting began through actor's workshops where she proceeded to land a cast part at Disney’s MGM Studio’s in Orlando Florida in a live stage show, commercial contract work and voice-overs.  Now a member of SAG/AFTRA, she has been cast in many independent and documentary films throughout New England as well as commercials, print ads and featured films both local and national.   Last year, her first co-star role in a full length indie film did exceptionally well in the festival circuit playing throughout the country including SXSW.  Locally, on the big screen, she landed the girlfriend role of cameo guest Sugar Ray Leonard in the Oscar winning film "The Fighter".  Ann was awarded for her physique in the popular Boston entertainment magazine "Stuff @ Night" as Best Body of Boston 2009 at age 35.  At age 37, Ann and her husband Wayne gave birth to their first child, a little girl, born on Christmas Eve named Lucia Maeve and a son Dashel 2 years following.  ; Ann says that motherhood is by far her greatest "role" yet. 

Recently, her largest stained glass window design commissioned to date (16x20ft skylight) was featured on The Travel Channel’s special “Americas Top Ski Homes”.  However, in her hometown of Marshfield, MA, she is most known for her animated drawings which grace the local Brant Rock breakfast diner, “Arthur & Pats” Restaurant which have been noted by Phantom Gourmet for their charm.  Her last international commission piece was an italian styled venetian plaster/ faux finish and interior decorating for a 5 bedroom villa in St. Barthelemy in the French West Indies.  This summer, she and her husband Wayne and their 1952 Airstream (which she did all of the interior decorating for) were featured in the June issue of the popular magazine South Shore Living.

Ann also enjoys non-profit work and acknowledges the importance of giving back to the community. She joined the Plymouth Independent Film Festival board  additionally  serving as the special events director from 2006-2008 in their mission to bring art, culture and film to the south shore community.  Ann organized fundraisers such as "Evening with the Soprano's" where she sought out some of the local talent from the former show and organized a dinner/movie event.   She additionally organized celebrity raffles including obtaining gifts of donation from the Clinton's, local star Steve Carell and the ever popular Tom Brady.  Following the board decision to cease the annual festival, Ann worked closely with members of the board to donate the monies earned to the Plymouth Cinema which showcases independent films on the historic Plymouth Plantation.  Ann and her husband frequent charity events and also do individual charity work such as aiding local Katrina victims transplanted to New England and creating a holiday gift drive during the holiday season. 

In addition to the various artistic mediums and acting, Ann occasionally collaborates as an event designer with “A Gala Affair”.  “Event Design is just another form of artistic expression” says Ann.  “When I do a commission painting or piece of glass for someone, I have such pleasure handing it over to my client upon completion, but to see a client walk into their own wedding or a CEO walk into a massive tent and actually experience all of our ideas come to life…well that is truly drawing people into your art”.  A Gala Affair focuses on exquisite, unique floral arrangements, eco friendly events and themed parties both corporate and private.

On a personal note, though native of New England, Ann is not particularly fond of the long winters and snow and spends a great deal of her winter plotting plans on escaping...and of course creating new masterpieces.  As far as her acting career, she  would ideally like to land a supporting role to George Clooney but will settle for playing a villian in a cheezy Lifetime movie.  She loves dogs and when she is not painting, she enjoys traveling in her vintage airstream camper with her husband Wayne and children Lucia and Dash.  

Ann claims it is her mission in life to "paint the world a better place".  Her favorite color is purple.  Her favorite Beatle is George.
